I finished the medical yesterday. How long did it take to hear back? Did you get an email the call first? Does it sound like they are putting everyone in the jan 7 class? Looking forward to possibly seeing everyone after the holidays.

Looking forward to possibly seeing everyone after the holidays. I took my medical on a Wed morning @ LGA. Two days later (Friday) I received the emails that most did which had us log into the American website to review the Pre-Arrival documents and initially thought that meant my medical was cleared. However, even those that had not yet completed the medical still received the same email. I never did receive an official confirmation that my medical was complete… so, the long answer to a short question is that I don't know when the medical was cleared. The next thing was the phone call from Capt Hale on Wednesday (Just before Thanksgiving). Hope to see you there 7 Jan! |

Really just wondering if this is a pretty solid offer or are there more hoops to jump through. I have my jumping shoes..... Like others I would like to put my notice in with the regional so I can have a few weeks off before, hopefully, training starts. I spoke with LaTonya last week and she made it sound as though if we got the medical notice it was good sign and good news would follow. So I am hopefully optimistic. Hope to see everyone on January 7..... Inky sorry to hear the bad news. Someone else will be calling soon. |

Barney,
I am confident that if you got the pre-arrival email, then it's just a matter of time before you get the phone call. I am guessing they are trying to figure out what arrangement of folks they want to make of the first classes. It has to happen soon. I think the Merger is final on the 9th of December. This date may play a role in who goes in what class. Who knows?

Hey ladies and gents.. To everyone still waiting for a call for class date ,ive heard that the training center may have been shut down for 1 or 2 days , or maybe jus minimal staffing because of the ice storm.. So that could be the reason for the delay.. At least im hoping it is ... But i really need a date so i can resign . Dont really wannna make that jump before that..hoping for next week..

Seth & Mark, congrats! Our class is coming together. Still waiting for the class date call. Stinkin' PRIA!
Did get an answer from Doris today regarding getting a class date and whether or not we're encouraged to bring our spouse/significant other to Indoc:
"Once you are assigned a class date, you will receive an email from Crew Communications (Renee Hair) that will provide all the necessary information for your indoc. Your question will be addressed in that email but I do believe you can bring a guest."
When they were last hiring, applicants brought their loved one to Indoc so they understand the great job you landed (welcome to the family), learned about the bennies, formal dinner with senior leadership, etc. Even flew you & your spouse out First Class.
Not sure they're gonna do that again. Maybe the two that have gotten the class dates can tell us.

Havent received any more info since last week, just a flight time form to send before the 7th. Thinking they are playing catch up from the weather down there.

The day I got the phone call, I was told that an email would follow with details. I still haven't received the email. She (Maureen) told me to plan to be there on the 6th and there would be a dinner on the 8th. She didn't say anything more about the dinner. She told me what hotel they would put us up in initially, by I don't remember. I did receive an email from Patty Taylor on 2 Dec that said more info would be coming from the flight communications department. I still haven't received any of those emails.

I received a welcome aboard call on the day before Thanksgiving. Was told I would receive a call the following week for a class date - haven't heard a word - call or email - since. Kinda makes me wonder now....
