So after being a week late with paperwork... I finally got the conditional. Need to go to the docs next week and hope to be in the jan class too. My company is trying to put me in for a checkride in jan.

Congrats Stacey! Was that the conditional (still need to do the medical) or the unconditional?

Those of you who haven't heard anything, remember no news is good news! If they've been interviewing each week since, that's a lot of people to get through, and depending on how many jobs and how easy it is for them to verify employment might take awhile. I know, easy for me to say not sitting on pins and needles anymore but remember they are looking for 600 people!

Congratulations to all that have good news! I am incredibly excited and am honored to be included in such a highly qualified group of aviators.
Inky and anyone else that have not heard anything, I empathize with you because it has been nerve-racking waiting on the news!!! I truly am optimistic that if you haven't received the 'Thanks, but no thanks" email or call yet that it is good news for you. I believe there is someone still working on your packet.
Yesterday, I got the "Welcome to American Airlines!" email as well. I logged in a completed the new hire portal and completed the Pre-Arrival OnBoarding tasks. Then it sends you a Congratulations email letting you know that you have successfully completed the Pre-Arrival Tasks and goes on to talk about "On your first day"......and continues with information about completing the Post-Arrival tasks once you arrived to work and have the internal company portal access.
Has anyone been been given an "official" start date yet? I see the forum posts about the Jan classes but I haven't heard anything officially from AA yet. Just like everyone else, I am definitely anxious to know when I start!

Phrog,
I almost finished the Pre-Arrival Tasks. But, got concerned that finishing it would trigger AA requesting PRIA info from your current employer. Don't get me wrong, I'm ready to jump ship & start at AA. But, want to make sure I notify current employer before AA contacts them.
During my 1-on-1, the admin/HR gal wrote "wait" or "hold" at the top of the PRIA form for my current employer and said they (AA) understand the sensitive nature and timing of sending the form.
Did anyone hear if AA would notify us before sending the PRIA to current employer? Thanks.

Tiff, I had the same thought. I couldn't remember, but did the original email that begins with "Welcome to American Airlines!" have an acceptance of the terms and conditions of employment acceptance before it let you into "Onboarding Portal?

Congrats to everyone who is hired so far! I got the official offer last week too, 24 hours after I'd done the physical in LA. I was shocked they could turn around the drug test that fast. I'm looking forward to seeing you all in January. Everyone I had the pleasure of meeting during the interviews seemed super cool, so I think we'll have a great class.
For those that haven't heard anything yet, I wouldn't sweat it (I know, easier said than done). I've been working in the same town, on the same base, in the same building for the last 11 years, and the geniuses at HireRight somehow determined that I'd quit my job back in June, and reported that to American. Luckily, LaTonya just called me and asked for my current pay stubs. My point is, if you've had a plethora of jobs over the past 10 years like a lot of folks have due to our less-than-robust economy, it may take a while longer before they complete your background check. Keep the faith.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Congrats Seth! Sounds good...got your info. Mine is swolford @ sbcglobal . net.
Pretty busy now, though...actually knocking out some mil duty now. Then, some Atlas flying followed by family coming in town for holidays. Maybe after New Year before heading down to Dallas.
