Thats all I know too Also sounded like they'd book an extra room for your guest if you wanted. Otherwise you actually had more info than I did! FYI they can add your trusted traveler number to your flight if you have it, Id give it to the first gal who calls for you and your guests info See you in a few weeks!!!

Fellow squad mate, also an AA pilot, said a thread on the APA forum states this week's class got:
10 DFW S80s 8 LGA 320s 8 MIA 767/D
Within that thread a pilot was stating that they need 150+ FOs at DFW. Guessing that came from the latest vacancy award.

Question once the award comes out . Will they allow you to switch with someone in the class if they would also prefer a different base ?

Second question , are the bases assigned by age , by social or do they just tell you where your going..?

Scratch that. Was jus told by terri seniority goes by age and then we all pick going down the line the base that we want .. Just to make it interesting would everyone mine writing your prefereed base out of LGA,DFW,MIA so we can see what the odds are looking like ...
MIA for me

Considering those bases are realistically what we'll get:
Base preference: DFW, MIA, LGA If our drop is similiar to Jan 7's: LGA, DFW, MIA
Pipe dream: LAX

FINALLY we have a breather! Be prepared for a fun filled FULL week! We stayed at the Hyatt the first 3 nights then moved to the LaQuinta for the rest of Indoc (till the 18th) then not sure where they are putting us. First day is general company info, culture, future culture, merger changes, etc. BRIEF BRIEF overview of benifits but not pilot specific, all employees go through this. 2nd day is with your guest and goes over more detailed company stuff specific to us pilots, bid awards. Dinner that night with the flight department at the hotel. Day 3 is more company pilot specific, travel bennies etc, ID's & manuals. Guest leaves after lunch and we continue with basic indoc. Check into new hotel that night, then optional union dinner. Indoc is through Sat, you have Sun & Monday off then goes Tue-next Sat. Depending on the a/c we may or may not start systems right away, a few in class are, others have a few weeks off, others we don't have schedules yet. Our class got 75/767 MIA, MD-80 DFW & 320 LGA. Bidding on the a/c and base is by seniority within class (birth dates). Health Insurance starts day 1, travel for companion / spouse & parents start by the end of the week (as soon as you have access to company website). You will be on first year pay until the EXPECTED training end date of the following year (find that out when bidding a/c) So for instance my expected end date for training is 3/3, I'll be on first year pay until 3/3/15....kinda a bummer....Also if you choose to on your days off they will provide positive space back and forth as long as there is a seat available when you book (also need access to website for that. Good luck all and I may or may not see you next week!!
