Delta still does a physical, so I am sure there is no HIPPA violation by conducting one. Hire Right has been having trouble with check. If you call know you will not be speaking with a person in the states. Spent the better part of an hour explaining that even though I am in the military my pay stub says DFAS on it.

Does any know if the " Hiring Panel" has reviewed our interview packages yet for the decision to hire/not hire? Or does that occur after the background investigations/reference checks/medical?
It's been almost two weeks since the first group interviewed. Has there been any news from them?

I was wondering how they were going to verify the military times with the DFAS paychecks. Where I work and where I get paid from are very different. I submitted my background stuff monday and haven't heard a word...

Same with me. Submitted background questionnaire on Mon. HireRite called on Tuesday to confirm the date I began my employment with he military ( I had listed each duty assignment and only went back 10 years). The lady I spoke didn't seem to be very familiar with the military. She kept referring to the Marine Corps as the Marine "Corpse".
I know at least one of my references was called on Monday. Aside from that, I have heard nothing. I'm still anxiously awaiting news.

For the military guys, I wouldn't be concerned (I'm one, too). Just got off the phone with Denise from HireRight (think she was in their Irvine, CA office...not India). She confirmed my background check is complete. I never explained DFAS on paystub...listed my squad as "xxxth Airlift Squadron (Air Force Reserves.)."
One of the HR gals said we'd be able to complete the medical at one of AA's nearest testing facility (i.e. base). I plan on going up to LAX once I receive the email/go-ahead.
Not sure when hiring makes their final decision. Seems they're kinda making it as you continually progress thru the steps.

One of my references started asking the HR lady (Maureen in this case) about their hiring, since he's from Eagle as well. Maureen said they haven't sent offers to anyone yet, we're the first group they're working on. So the guys that interviewed the first week can take another breath and relax. I interviewed last week and the wait is suspenseful, I can't imagine how the guys in the first week feel!

Did they call all of your references or just a couple of them. It looks as though they called the 1st and last one I listed out of 5. 2,3, and 4 were not called.

I only know that one of my references was called. I have not yet contacted my other 4 references to ask if they were called. I am assuming they have not been called since I haven't heard anything.
