Just talked to Sharon, my physical is scheduled for tomorrow in LGA. She says urinalysis only. No blood. Show up hydrated. Don't know anything else about it.
A few questions that I have…. Anyone know the answers? 1. Has anyone else that didn't get an email yesterday heard anything yet? I really hope the entire group gets the call!!! Hang in there! 2. Does AA pay for a hotel or is it on us (like Delta)? 3. When do travel benefits begin? When I was hired at the regionals, the travel benefits for me kicked in right away but I believe there was a waiting period for the family. 4. Pay? How much during training? How much afterward? Per Diem? 5. I hear the first class is sometime in Jan. Does anyone know the dates yet?
Just curious. Hope to see you all in training soon!

Hotel is provided in training. 3. Travel on AMR metal is pretty much as soon as you're hired, just gotta get a login for the travel website to list yourself. For the family, I'd have to look that up and get back to you. Something wants to tell me 30 days, but I'll check. 4. Pay for first year is $40/hr. I'll check the pay during training. Per diem is currently $1.80. I think it'll go up on January 1. 5. Whatever I've read on here is what I know about the class dates. Although, Eagle employees got a company communication that December will have its first new hire class, but I don't know how accurate it is.

Here is that company communication:
» More Than 10,000 Candidates Apply for American’s Pilot Positions
We’re not the only ones who think the new American’s future is bright. In the first six weeks since opening our recruitment for approximately 1,500 Pilots over the next five years, we’ve had more than 10,000 candidates apply, with the first new pilots scheduled to begin training in December. “The substantial interest we’ve received in these positions underscores the exceptional reputation of American’s Pilots, as well as the promising opportunities before our team,” said Capt. John Hale, Vice President – Flight. “This is an exciting time for our airline and Flight Department, and I’m looking forward to meeting some of our new team members in the coming months.” The posting will remain active for the time being; we’ll continue evaluating a possible closing date as we move through the process. You can recommend a candidate on aacareers.com by clicking on the “Apply Now” link in the Pilot section, then on the “Recommendations” tab in the Pilot Credentials portal. Candidates can also apply at aacareers.com.

Just finished the physical at JFK 1. blood pressure 2. Drug test (2 one internal one DOT) 3. Hearing 4. vision (near, distance, color and depth...same machine as FAA) 5. questions about health, surgeries, meds, etc, Scariest part was hearing test, they put you in this old booth with headphones and have to press button on sound....not sure how I did on that one All seems pretty redundant IMO but The moto COOPERATE AND GRADUATE never fails

Just finished medical at LAX. Same as Tiff's. I'd say anything you've reported to FAA better match what you list in AA's paperwork.
I don't think there's any discrepancy with the class date discussed. Capt Roberts did tell us it'd be mid-December, and that was AA's plan. But, from what Dawn told some of us lately, the class has been pushed back to January.
See you guys then.

Has anyone else besides the first group gotten a call or email yet? I spoke to dawn today and she says they are waiting on more names to come down to send to medical. The wait is driving me crazy.

I got an email saying they needed more info regarding my driver's license. I changed my phone number and updated it on the website but they didn't have it. I'm assuming my paperwork is week behind everyone. Hope to hear from them soon. JetBlue just wrote me an email and I'd like to avoid another interview if possible....

I just finished medical at LGA. If anyone else is going there, let me know. Unless you know where you're going, it's a small challenge to find.
Same process as other reports.
Has anyone been given a timeline from medical exam to the "Unconditional" job offer?

Spouse, parents, and dependents are eligible upon hire date. After 2 years, you'll get "D3" passes for guests. D3 is lower priority than D2 (mostly employees, their spouse, dependents, and sometimes parents). 4. I couldn't find what new hires get during training as far as minimum gurantee or anything like that. It does have some language about long term training receiving some kind of guarantee, but the terms used were not familiar to me. Per diem will go to $2.00 on 1-1-2016.
