I got a email from Dawn Johnson today. They now have the HireRight info and are comparing it too our employment history that we supplied. It looks like the process is continuing just slowly.

The earlier message should have been Dawn Jordan-Wells is who emailed me. I sounds as though they are checking our paperwork out now and we might hear something this next week.

Lol...nice Barney (guessing that's Seth). Love the "Dawn Johnson" Miami Vice reference. Since it's looking like we'll be in MIA for a few years, guess I'll pull out my retro pink and purple t-shirts. One of my AA recommendations, guy in my squad on military leave from AA, suggested our group list our quals, # of recs/refs, & any other connections (i.e. internships) to try and gauge what AA is initially selecting. We could pass this along to friends and co-workers hoping to get an interview. Could be, we're just damn lucky . I'll go first: Without any sortie conversion: 5000 TT -- all but 73 hrs ME jet/turbine 2600 PIC (incl 430 IP) Military (C-5, T-1, T-37 = 4250) Civ (747-400/-8, C152/72 = 740) Recs = 4 (all AA pilots) Refs = 6 (5 AA pilots, 1 AA F/A) Hopefully we'll hear something tomorrow. |

Got the conditional offer!...from Dawn, pending the medical. Anyone else get the email? And, please list your stats.

I just received an email for a conditional offer. It asks you to reply to the email with "yes" or "no" and regarding a couple of questions about whether or not you agree to the terms of employment. I am still a bit unclear on what "fulfillment of the selection process" means.
I just left Dawn an voice mail asking for more detail on where/when/how to complete the medical examination. The only information regarding the medical is the sentence below. If anyone knows the answer, please share. If not, I will share as soon as I find out more info.
Good Luck All! I still don't feel like I'm there yet but it does feel closer!!! I am pretty excited!
"Please understand that this offer of employment is contingent upon fulfillment of the selection process, including but not limited to successful completion of the required pre-employment medical exam."
"Please bring photo identification and a copy of your medical appointment slip when you come for the medical examination."

Dawn Just called. She said I beat her to it…. She says she planned to call to schedule the medical. She gave me choices of LAX, TUL, MIA, ORD, LGA, JFK (there may have been one other) to do the medical. I gave her me preference of location and the days I am available. She said Sharon will email me with the date/location and other required info.
I asked for clarification on "fulfillment of the selection process" and she said the medical is all that is remaining.

Dawn wants you to reply to the email with your answer to the 2 questions (i.e. YES and YES).
Dawn said the class, initially scheduled for Dec 18, has now been pushed back to January. Basically said they pushed back to avoid the holiday break disruption.

I got the email too Latonya called me to get dates avail for the medical also. Said it would only take about half hr to 45 mins but plan all day with travel so must not be the astronaut physical like in the old days..... I got the same answer about class, Jan No word from Sharon yet though. YEAH! cant wait to see you all soon! |

Did you get an email about your background check being complete before getting one for the medical?
